1) Only in America, could a certain politician talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.

2) Only in America, could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General, and an 18% black federal workforce, but a black population of only 12%. .

3) Only in America, could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department, and Charles Rangel, who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

4) Only in America, could they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

5) Only in America, could they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while they discuss letting people who sneak into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens.

6) Only in America, could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists."

7) Only in America, could they need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

8) Only in America, could they demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up, when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of the return of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

9) Only in America, could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

10) Only in America, could the rich people - who pay 86% of all federal income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any federal income taxes at all.

Cause for concern ...............

I am not exactly sure of the origin f this article, so I am not going to mention any names. I have expressed these same concerns so I am offering this here for your consideration and thought.

Could 2012 be America 's Last Presidential Election?

This questions has been asked to a number of people and most of them respond as if I were crazy. They tell me that this is America , land of the free, and that there will always be elections. I tell them that we are no longer the land of the free and that if Obama gets re-elected in 2012 that this just may be America 's last election.

In the past three years, the Obama administration has been very carefully crafting the nation for a political take over by his Marxist regime and this isn't just my opinion.

Popular radio talk show host (of the Savage Nation on the Talk Radio Network), Michael Savage, is the son of Russian immigrants and is very familiar with Soviet and European history. Savage warned his listeners this week saying, "I have to tell you that if this man, God forbid, is the next president of the United States, we're going to be living in something along the lines of - people say - Europe. I don't believe it's going to be like Europe - I think it will be closer to Chavez's South American dictatorship.

"This is the most corrupt, incompetent, dangerous tyrannical administration in American history. It's not politics as usual. It's not just Democrats versus Republicans. Obama has a long history of being at odds with American values and with America itself and the core principles of this country. They don't want government-sponsored opinions. They only want government-sponsored 'Pravda.' That's exactly what the government-media complex tells you on a daily basis - nothing but the government-media complex party line. Pay attention! Your freedom may be at stake!

Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum told a small group of people in an Iowa coffee house that "Barack Obama is not incompetent, ladies and gentleman. He knows exactly what he's doing and why he's doing it. He sees America differently than you see America ."

[Obama] has gone out of his way to divide this country in a way I haven't seen since the Great Depression when Franklin Roosevelt went around to divide his country. That's his hero. What makes America great [in Obama's mind] is that the government takes money from somebody and gives it to somebody else. No, that's what makes America , France .

"With his control over the Executive and Judicial branches of the government, the stage is set for a complete takeover of the government. Think about it! Since taking office, instead of helping the economy, Obama has purposely escalated the economic crisis by plunging the country into unprecedented debt. He has a number of programs that are designed to go into effect in January 2013, just in time for his second term of office. The economic burden and increased taxes on everyone will be enough to cause the final economic collapse of the country. As soon as that happens, Obama declares Martial Law and assumes dictatorial control of the nation.

The Department of Justice has already been subverting federal laws to strip us of a number of freedoms. The Supreme Court and many of the other federal courts have been seeded with socialistic liberal judges that will rule in Obama's favor on virtually anything, thus ending constitutional rule and law.

He's already changing the face of America 's military. Allowing homosexuals to openly serve along with changing the retirement program is causing many conservative military leaders to resign commissions and leave the military. Some Pentagon officials are also noting that an increase in the enlistment of radical Muslims into the US military where they get all the training they need on weapons and defense systems. We have no idea how many of them there are in the armed forces or in what positions they may hold.

Obama has been wielding executive powers this past year as if he were already a dictator. When Congress is not doing his bidding, he simply bypasses them and uses an executive order to accomplish it anyway. This has set the stage for his disbandment of Congress. He would not be the first world leader to take control of a nation and disband the legislative branch of government.

He has been effectively using the media to anesthetize the public to the dangers he poses. Like a patient being prepped for surgery, people are numb to the changes and won't have a clue what took place until they wake up in recovery and realize that free America has been removed and replaced with a regime that may parallel those of Stalin, Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, Chavez and Castro.

For the sake of our children and grandchildren, I earnestly pray that we are spared from what seems a certain future and that Obama is overwhelmingly defeated in 2012.

WHERE did that feeling go?

Watching TV a while ago and a song started playing, "America." Beautiful song, very melodic, and it got me to thinking and wondering  and remembering how many times I had heard that in my almost eighty years, but, more importantly, the varying degrees of pride I have felt, over the years. It seems like the older I have gotten, the less meaning it has.

I remember the feeling I had every morning, at Emerson School, when the class would face the flag, put our hands over our hears, and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.  And in the forties, during the war, a tremendous amount of pride, the "Pledge" took on a whole new meaning. I think that feeling lingered on for a few years. I was in the Navy from '52 to '56, Korea was almost over, but in '56, many of the "old timers" were getting out of the Navy, times and traditions were changing. Something was happening, a new generation was taking over. Sailors were being issued zipper fly's instead of the traditional 13 buttons. A minor thing, but an end to a tradition and the birth of a new generation.

Viet Nam was a whole new experience and a massive change in the feelings in our country. Flags were being burned and dragged in the mud, a new generation was questioning America, and what it stood for. I remember some meetings I attended during the latter part of the century, and when we recited the "Pledge,"  they were all a monotone, just words, no feelings. That patriotic feeling was eroding away.

The last time my patriotism was elevated to a point of tears occurred a few years ago, the Ohio State-Navy game in Columbus, emotion was high, throughout the entire stadium, patriotism, proud to be an American, I wonder when we will no longer be able to sing the National Anthem before a game. At the rate we are losing our freedoms, it won't be long. Perhaps if we all learn "the Pledge"  in Spanish, or, maybe we should learn it in Chinese, or ?

The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama's America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.

It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and of murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American civil society.

It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: of defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been always rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been now shredded and, with them, every person's guaranteed liberties.

It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American people, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal college professors, union bosses and all other loyal liberal/Communist Party members will live in opulent splendor. It is the America that Obama and the Democrat Party have now created with all the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood, unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American foreign entities.

 Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in 3 years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America. "Socialism, in general, has a record of failure that's so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it."

The problems we face today are there because the people who work  for a living are out numbered by the people that vote for a living.

A M E R I C A - A M E R I C A

Over the past few days, many 4th accolades have been directed, and deservedly so, at our armed forces.

The 4th of July celebrates our Declaration of Independence, the forming of AMERICA. In 1776, those men got together, in secret, and decided to declare their INDEPENDENCE from England. They wanted to be FREE and rule their own country.

I think we forget, at times, the actual reason for the day. It is not to thank the armed forces, that is done on another day, and should be done every day, but on the 4th we should thank those "signerS" for having the forethought to form this country. I don't think we say AMERICA enough. We have lost what AMERICA really is.

The 4th of July is a celebration of our INDEPENDENCE, nothing more. We should sing songs that attest to that, and songs with AMERICA in them.

I think we have lost sight of AMERICA and what they intended.

Last night, the 4th, a few TV stations had patriotic themes, but always geared at thanking our service men and women, but many more stations were about the life and death of Michael Jackson.

Something out of balance there.

I am more concerned about AMERICA, keeping alive what was started in 1776. Many kids today have little awareness of the Declaration of Independence, but they can recite all the words to songs, and know details of the lives of celebs of the day.

I think we should all think more about AMERICA, every day, and keep reminding those in government about AMERICA, before we no longer exist, as our forefathers intended.

And, we should do it before it is too late.
