Frank Beckmann ....Interesting State of the Union address last night.

I must admit I did not watch or listen to the "show" last night. I had seen enough BS for the week, after watching the Grammy s.  I already am aware of the "State of the Union, we are in a mess. We are still arrogant enough to consider ourselves the "leaders of the world." Do we have problems, you bet. Do we acknowledge them? NO. We just keep muddling along thinking it will all go away. One FACT to consider. United States Marines who marched in the Inaugural Parade had to remove the bolts from their rifles, which rendered them harmless and useless. They all took an oath to "defend" their country, and yet, what they would "defend" with, was rendered useless. That renders a powerful message about the leadership of this country, think about it. Below is a Facebook entry this morning from Frank Beckmann from WJR in Detroit.

President Obama said government can't do everything and then proceeded to outline a plan for them to do just that, proposing increased reach into our schools, college loans, manufacturing, 3-D printing ('Wow, that's cool -- let's build 15 of those printing centers'), mortgages, climate change of course (carbon pollution?

Like the CO2 he expellled with each breath?), the selection of careers for students, spending on infrastructure and education in other countries, bridge building, tax hikes, and a big increase in the minimum wage (why just $9?

If raising it is a good idea, let's go right to $25 or $30 dollars an hour!!).

Hooray for bringing troops home from Afghanistan.

Does spending our way to prosperity work?

More tax increases on the wealthy? (What's the upper limit of that?).

A war on seniors -- really?

And when did we cut our deficit by $2.5 trillion, before or after we scuttled entitlement reform and raised the number of people on food stamps?
