Questions in my mind about Colorado???

A few questions have arisen in my mind since the event in Colorado. I am skeptical of events such as this, and always ask myself, "Why?"

Where did an unemployed student get the 20 or 30 thousand dollars to purchase the guns, ammo and equipment, and where and when did he acquire the expertise to turn his apartment in to an intricately designed booby trap?
