I wonder????

I got to thinking, we lost so many men and women during WWII, they gave their lives for their country. I wonder how they would feel, if they came back today, and saw what was happening in this country. They gave their lives for this country, and now, they would not even recognize it.

When they died, the country was "together," everyone was working for the war effort, women were working, the men that were left, were working, buying war bonds, gas rationing, food stamps, for the "war effort."

Can you imagine telling some young Pfc. who was killed at Guadalcanal, about trillions in debt, about bailing out General Motors, how could you explain all that has happened in the last ten years.

That young Pfc. died for the freedoms that we are losing today.

Why did they die in Korea? In Viet Nam, Desert Storm. How many men and women have died, defending our country and the freedoms we have, and are slowly losing,  today. I would hate to think that all died in vain.

And, if you could talk with one of them, they would not be able to comprehend this country, and the shape it is in today. There is no way to explain, this country,  to anyone from the past. The difference is incomprehensible, and certainly unexplainable.
