How do they do it? Or, do we just have short memories. November 5, and already the "chefs" and food talk shows are showing us "new" ways to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving, new and better dressing recipes. Yesterday, a "chef" almost split the bird in half, shot dressing under the skin, and cut the cooking time in half, how many years have we had a Thanksgiving.
Walmart had a big display of roasters, all sizes and shapes, electric ones. What happened to all the roasters they sold last year? Do people use them and throw them out. I have one I use, that my Mom used, probably 100 years old, and, and I miss it, one her Grandmother had, a blue one, ship's hull bottom and the same shape in the domed lid. I loved that, the air flow of the shape, none cooked better.
Each day now till Thanksgiving, we will "learn" how to cook a turkey and all the other stuff, and then go right in to a Christmas cooking season ... it just don't take much to entertain us ..... does it?
