He is call Coach Bear, and last weekend he was at the helm of a most difficult, perplexing, sad, emotional, basketball game. If you have followed this blog they you are aware of the Lauren Hill situation. He and his staff,, I am sure with heavy hearts and with tears in their eyes, "pulled it off." I think all of their goals were achieved, and their contributions were overshadowed by the event itself.
Lauren didn't just get a hug, after that first basket ... a hug, and a pat on the head filled with love and admiration.
He gets my vote for Coach of the Year, regardless of what happens the rest of the season. And, his three assistants and others involved with the team, and the team itself, all did well. I cannot imagine the emotion that filled the air.
That above link, Lauren Hill, I saw this morning. The guy that did the piece, said not a dry eye in the place, and I think he had some tears during his morning interview ............
