Friday evening ...

A sunny day in Ohio, and, in the 50's tomorrow and the 60's on Sunday, and we set the clocks back tomorrow night. Someone, somewhere, thinks that Spring is on the way.

Nothing in particular to write about, so I will just start in ..........

There are way TOO many commercials on TV. I thought someone used to regulate that. Due to my ADD I am a channel surfer. and believe me, there is a plethora of commercials during the hour, many of them all at the same time. One show, went to a commercial and did 9 of them before they got back to the show. Generally if there are a bunch a couple of them will be Public Service type things, thrown in. Probably a regulation of some kind.

Politics I don't want to get in to. I have posted my opinion and theory, and it has not varied. Complacency gas has been released ...... all around ...... the country, and it is effectively working.

Dennis Rodman may become our next Secretary of State. Looking elegant in either male or female attire he will be able to dress appropriately for any occasion, and for any "head of state."

Raymond O’Dell lost his mother 20 some years ago, that's the bad news. The good news, he has been collecting HER benefits from the Public Employees Retirement System all that time, to the tune of $100,000 dollars. He has put the money to good use though, he lives in Washington State in a $600,000.00 home, and has a Taco Bell or two. He might even have gotten another $100,000.00 from Social Security. So, benefits can really be helpful. I have to wonder how he thought he would get away with it.

And, last but not least, in Powell, Ohio, Pastor John Hohe is bringing in Crissy Moran as a guest speaker. Moran was known in the porn industry as one of the 30 most beautiful actresses of all-time. In 2006, she said she had enough when she left her $15,000 a month pay check and turned to Christianity. “Once you get past that initial shock, it makes sense for a church to do this,” said the pastor. The church has been promoting the ex-porn star's visit to the community by putting up a large sign on Powell Rd. as well as passing out pamphlets.

The church asks that children under 12-years-old not attend the evening event. I wonder if they are selling video's after the service, just to show the difference between right and wrong.

A comment or two. With a name like HOHE, he has no black members, they could not sit in his church with a straight face. My Grandfather, Rev. James Shannon is turning over in his grave at the thought of ANY church holding a church service where children 12 and under were not allowed. 

I wonder if they are going to show BEFORE and AFTER movies?

"Honey, let's go to church Sunday Evening."

"Why, John?"

"I want to hear their speaker."

"Why, John?"

"Well, I just think she might be a good .... speaker, that's all."

"Who is SHE, John."

"Well, she used to be in the movies."

"What kind of movies, John."

"Well, the sign says she was a porn star."

"And, why, would you want to see a porn star,  John?"

"I'd just like to HEAR her message, that's all."

NOTE: John will  be released from Riverside Hospital on Wednesday,  he missed the service, his wife didn't miss.

PS: Towels will be available at all entrances on Sunday evening so those needing them, can wipe the smiles off of their faces before entering the church.
