It has finally happened, it is Saturday afternoon, sitting here on the couch, in the living room, watching the television, checked all the stations, nothing on, so for an hour I have been watching a preacher, or an evangelist, giving a sermon, in Spanish.
I am fantasizing that he is a political candidate, and I am listening to the words I would like to hear. My wife, occasionally, looks it, to see that I am still alive, or maintained my sanity. She is not watching, doing some housework, but has to hear the show on occasions, and I am sure she is wondering .... "what is wrong with him?"
It is pleasant to watch and hear television .... well, my senses are all appeased, audio and video, I am listening, hearing words. It's like eating very bland food. You are satisfying the need to eat, but only that, you don't know or care what you are eating, in a daze.
I really don't know what he is saying so I don't have to think about it, it actually is very pleasant. He is wearing a nice black suit, red lining in the jacket, and a white shirt and tie, must not be American television. He just said something that they liked, they applauded.
This is great, I am watching television and enjoying it, and have no idea what he is saying, much like an American Politician. I don't know if this guy is lying, probably not, he is preaching, telling the truth, no mental exertion on my part at all ... going to look for more of them...............
Thomas Jefferson said in 1802: "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies."
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."-- Thomas Jefferson
"When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout." .... jbd
"When once a job you have begun, do no stop till it is done. Whether the task be great or small, do it well, or not at all." .... Anon
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. - Albert Einstein
Television is one daylong commercial interrupted periodically by inept attempts to fill the airspace in between them.If you can't start a fire, perhaps your wood is wet ....
When you elect clowns, expect a circus ..............
