I am apparently in a good mood this evening. I was going to do some more on the upcoming trip to Africa that is costing 100 million, and then I did some research. Trips to Africa are not new. Since Roosevelt, there have been about 23 or so trips by Roosevelt (2), Jimmy Carter (2), George H. Bush (1), Bill Clinton (6), George W. Bush (10), and Obama as of now (1), soon to be (2).
Not sure of any costs, seems like accounting was reluctant to let that information out. I still am of the opinion that 100 millions is a lot to spend, especially when we don't have it to spend. I checked also, the Bush family all went a time or two, and they did a safari trip also.

I still would rather hear the president say, "Michelle, the girls and I were going to take a weeklong trip to Africa, but when we learned of the cost, we cancelled the trip. It would just cost the taxpayers too much. So, we are going to rent some flicks, make some popcorn, drink a few Cokes, maybe shoot a few hoops, and just "chill" for the week. God bless the USA."
And, I intend to hit the lottery this week, wonder how big the jackpot is?
