At a speech at the White House to outline a new science initiative, President Barack Obama named himself “Scientist-in-Chief.”
“I’m glad I've been promoted Scientist-in-Chief,” Obama said to laughter at the White House. “Given my grades in physics, I’m not sure it’s deserving. But I hold science in proper esteem, so maybe that gives me a little credit.”
Obama said he brought together a lot of smart people, which would help grow the economy “Today I've invited some of the smartest people in the country, some of the most imaginative and effective researchers in the country — some very smart people to talk about the challenge that I issued in my State of the Union address: to grow our economy, to create new jobs, to reignite a rising, thriving middle class by investing in one of our core strengths, and that’s American innovation,” said Obama.
IRVING BOOMERMAN - "All of his convictions for counterfeiting aside, Irving has a brilliant mind. He has been an adviser of mine since before I took office. He alone was able to find my college transcripts, my birth certificate, all the documents that I have needed to produce to become your president. Loyalty and ambition like that has a place in our rebuilding program."
MANNY ROGIATIANO - "Mr. Rogiatiano has an innate ability to fight and eliminate adversity. He has been a champion of my agenda, keenly aware of problem areas, and by his persuasive means, has "smoothed over" those areas. His "eliminate stumbling block" attitude can help to more this country forward.
BERNIE MADOFF - "Controversial, perhaps, but by securing his release from prison I feel that his knowledge can now be put to good use. Who better to get us back on our feet. Bernie has assured me, that our country is in good hands, investing in him. God bless you, Bernie."
KONRAD NG - "My Brother-in-law who is an assistant professor at the University of Hawaii's Academy of Creative Media. He studied philosophy at McGill University and cultural studies at the University of Victoria before he got his PhD from University of Hawaii at Manoa. See, I be having smart relatives, ha, ha."
