I have a problem, maybe some of you have some suggestions.
I am on a LOW SUGAR diet, and my wife is on LOW SODIUM. Any good suggestions on what we can eat?
We have found both a low sodium and a low sugar cookbook, but have not found one yet for both. I must admit that not putting salt on things brings out a natural flavor that is appealing. I think after all these years I am hooked on the salt and not the actual taste of what I am eating.
This I learned the other evening. Went to a "burger" drive in. Ordered fries with NO SALT. They did a special cooking, when done, rather than salting, they put them in our carry out thing. Nice fresh, hot fries, best I've had in quite a while. Did not miss the salt.
Check out your local super market for low salt items, few and far between. Start reading those labels and you will be shocked, much salt added to almost everything. Some quantities will even shock you.
