The Politicians Oath

I woke up this morning, and not sure why, but I thought there should be an OATH that any man, woman or child should take, before becoming POLITICIANS, a Politicians Oath. Not the one they take before entering office, those obviously don't matter, they are forgotten shortly after the words leave their mouths. The skulduggery starts right after the Oath of Office.

That is the Oath that opens the door to unknown riches and power, to rewarding friends for their help and assistance in getting the person the office, the door to making much more money than a person is worth, the door to a fine retirement program, the door to a campaign fund, perhaps the door that is rewarding a person for their patronage to a political party, and the door to OPPORTUNITY. That is what that OATH means any more. It is close to a license to steal. Basking in the glory of an Oath of Office is akin to getting approved for a casino license.

The title POLITICIAN, to me, anymore, has negative connotations.

I need your help. I want to write a Politicians Oath.

I declare that from this moment forward, I will be known to my family, community and my country as a Politician, and I freely take this oath and accept this title, knowing that as I campaign, win or lose, or accept office of any kind, that I must exhibit characteristics of trust, honesty, respect my Oath Of Office, etc…..
