We had a neighbor on our farm when I was young, who had a little boy named Ralph. Since birth he had not been able to speak.
They took him to specialists, speech clinics, anywhere that they thought there was a ray of hope, but nothing worked.
Finally, one morning Ralph came down for breakfast, quietly sat down and started to eat.
"Mom, these darn pancakes are cold," he said.
The family was excited, they jumped around the dining room for joy.
His father, who was filled with excitement said, "Ralph, what happened, all these years you couldn't talk, now you are talking, why?"
Ralph said, "Dad, up to now everything has been OK."
