No big deal, only someone my age would even notice it.
Accidentally had bowling on for a while, when I came into the house. I watched it for a while, and then they made an announcement. One of the bowlers, not sure which one, the announcementt was that he and his fiancee just found out she was going to have a baby. I'm not "pruddy," have that situation in our own family, it just sounded strange, "he and his fiancee are going to have a baby."
Years ago you not only would not announce it, you might try to hide it. Girls used to be sent "away" if they became pregnant, with no husband, but times change.
It was just strange to hear.
