Eventually you will reach a point
when you stop lying about your age
and start bragging about it.
This is so true.
I love to hear them say
"you don't look that old."
I can certainly relate to this.
I thank my dear friend Ernie for sending me this.
I have given much thought to this.
I am not sure at what age I made the transition.
I know that when the question of my age comes up,
I proudly state my age.
"I'll be 82 this month"
"OH, you don't look that old!"
The trick here is to leave this statement alone ... they might think you look older.
Just thank them and walk away, standing tall ...
don't let them know how much the arthritis hurts.
Ernie is my last surviving "memory" of the early 50's. We were in the Navy together. I treasure his friendship. Of those I know, he is the only one who can say .... "I remember you in uniform" And, he started much of my life off .... he drove me to my first wedding .... in Yuma. We had some good times in the "old" days at the Rosarita Beach Resort and other places there.
