This was the main room of the Cal Neva at Lake Tahoe, North side, where I briefly had a very quick drink with Sinatra. A group of us had been partying all evening, and it involved a quick invitation, a quick sip, on my part, and out the door to the crap table.
Sinatra and his entourage often came in to the Nevada Lodge to eat, early morning, large group, followed by many extremely attractive young followers. I saw them on a few occasions.
The lake in '59 and '60 was just getting started as a year round attraction. Prior to the Olympics coming to the mountain, it was just a summer resort.
I am glad I got to spend some time there before "progress" moved in, it was a heavenly place to work and live.
