I'm seeing some posts where an empty chair on the lawn is being used like a political sign. Some think it represents Obama, others Romney.
What do you think?
There is no "political" law about a chair on the lawn, so it is a good political statement.
I saw an ardent Democrat put one on her lawn thinking it was a positive for Obama. I personally think the empty chair is a positive for Romney. The presidential chair is empty, if that is not a negative for Obama I don't know what is. The president is not there, the chair has been vacant for four years.
But a lot of political ads I see I really can't determine who they are for, anyway. It used to be you never mentioned your opponent, especially by name. Now, you only talk about your opponent, negatively, but sometimes it has been hard to discern the difference.
I prefer the good old days, but put that chair out in your yard, if nothing else, it shows you have an extra chair and you are politically knowledgeable, may just not know who you are voting for.
