Claim of Jordanian al-Qaeda extremist

AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — The head of an extremist Jordanian Muslim Salafi group said early Tuesday that he was "happy to see the horror in America" after the explosions in Boston.

"American blood isn't more precious than Muslim blood," said Mohammad al-Chalabi, who was convicted in an al-Qaida-linked plot to attack U.S. and other Western diplomatic missions in Jordan in 2003.

"Let the Americans feel the pain we endured by their armies occupying Iraq and Afghanistan and killing our people there," he said early Tuesday.

Al-Chalabi served seven years in prison for his part in the foiled attack. His group is outlawed in Jordan.
A Mideast counterterrorism official based in Jordan said the blasts "carry the hallmark of an organized terrorist group, like al-Qaida." He did not give actual evidence linking al-Qaida to the bombing.

"From the little information available, one can say it was a well-coordinated, well-targeted and near-simultaneous attack," he said. "Luckily, the amount of explosives used is small, judging from the casualty figure and explosion area."

On Wednesday I tweeted that nobody would any longer be calling for the US prison at Guantanamo Bay (GITMO) to close down. I wrote it in response to reports that one of the attackers of the US embassy in Libya last Tuesday on the anniversary of 9/11 was a former detainee at that prison. In a sane country I would have been correct. But I really ought to have learned my lesson by now never to be shocked by the Obama administration. It seems I let my guard down, however, and I experience shock yet again.

Nobody wants GITMO to close? President Obama has proven me incorrect, as he plans on releasing a minimum of 55 detainees. one of whom was a bodyguard for Osama bin Laden. For now he appears to have nixed his former idea of releasing them into American prisons, but where these prisoners ultimately settle remains to be determined. No country wants them except the ones they came from. Maybe the US should build a prison in the middle of the ocean after they close down the current prison in the middle of the ocean.

One of the most common criticisms leveled at Obama during this first term of his has been that he failed to keep his campaign promise to close GITMO. Presumably he broke this promise because once he became President and was given security briefings, his naiveté on the matter was scrubbed away, and he realized there were actually reasons for there being prisoners at GITMO.

But now, security be damned, he’s releasing one-third of the prisoners.

What I am wondering is how, after receiving news that one of the embassy attackers two weeks ago was a former GITMO detainee, could any American president with sincere concern for the safety of his citizens even contemplate releasing more of those barbarians into the world? This on top of the fact that, according to the Pentagon, one in seven detainees who have been released in the past have returned to wage jihad against Americans. Why are these actions of Obama’s acceptable?

Of course this decision of the President’s is based not on national security, but on politics and concern with his re-election. It is an attempt to re-energize his disillusioned base. “See, I kept my promise, kind of.” As we’ve seen for the past four years, politics comes first in Obama’s mind. “I’m from Chicago,” he once said while campaigning in 2008. “We know how to play politics in Chicago.”

My first one on Wasps

It was a beautiful morning in Ohio this morning. Sat on the porch enjoying the nice morning air. Just enough breeze to be pleasant. A family of wasps live under some wooden pieces that make up our railing. When they get too bad, I spray, and that is the end of them till the next summer. I started thinking, why do we have wasps?

I don't think they are productive, they don't make honey, or anything like that. Not sure what they eat, or what they do, other than fly around and harass humans. Then, it dawned on me, they are like terrorists, they frighten by intimidation, and they can back it up with their stinger, if necessary.

"Oh, there's a wasp!? They threaten by just being there, much like certain ethnic groups and their attire, "Oh, he must be a terrorist," only by his attire.

I do wonder, though, what is the purpose of a wasp? When we see one, we run. Maybe we just need the exercise. Is God smart, or what?

Ashhad Amal Samallan, entrepreneur from Steubennille, Ohio, and owner of a number of Indian Casinos across the United States, and a recent recipient of a government "Baleout" loan from an unknown Wall Street Bank, announced today the formation of an airline that would cater only to those on the governments "No Fly" list.

In an interview, Ashhad stated, "The list has grown significantly, and they have every right to fly. There is no proof that they are terrorists, and I figure that putting them all on the same airplane will insure a safe flight. We basically have reverted to the old "Non Schedule" airlines of the 50's. We don't even have security checks to get through our terminals, no need, it would be foolish for a terrorist to blow up a plane of terrorists."

He indicated that they were having difficulty in obtaining any jet airliners, and that all of the prop planes were not worth fixing up. He said the old workhorse, the Ford Tri-Motor was the answer, and that they had been able to pick up a few in Arizona, at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction.

Samallan further stated that he hopes to get the airline in operation by Spring of 1012. They have had many inquiries since the prospect of a Spring War in the Middle East was possible.

Ahmen Gahailani gets Life ...

The first Guantanamo Bay detainee to have a U.S. civilian trial was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday for his role in the 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.


U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan called it a day of justice for Ahmed Ghailani as well as for the families of 224 people who died in the al-Qaida bombings, including a dozen Americans. Thousands more who were injured in the two attacks.

"The offense was horrific," Judge Kaplan said. "I am not persuaded that Mr. Ghailani is the harmless and innocent person as presented - not at all," he said.

The judge also fined Ghailani $32 million. Ghailani declined the opportunity to address the court when asked and stood for sentence.

What Should We Do

I would rather hear our President say, "We will do whatever it takes to stop terrorism."

NOT let them know what we will or won't do. We don't need to advertise that we "water board," or do this or that, just let them know that "WE WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO PUT A STOP TO IT." Then, let them worry about it.

Years ago, in Reno, in the casinos, before security cameras, the "eye in the sky" was always there. One way mirrors all over the ceilings. Someone was not always up there ............. but .............. YOU didn't know, so it stopped many from doing any cheating. The threat of being caught was always there.

NOT KNOWING is a great deterrent. Not knowing what they will do if they catch you, is a deterrent. But, if we let them know we don't do this or that, we sit you in a chair and ask questions ...... wow, how bad can it be.
