North Korea warns of 'all-out war'

Is the "right" person running this country, to make such a decision? Who is advising HIM? Whose side is Dennis Rodman on? Is "he" negotiating for us?

Seoul (AFP) - North Korea on Saturday issued a fresh warning of an "all-out war", urging the United States to stop military drills and what it described as "nuclear blackmail".

In a thinly veiled threat to strike the United States, the North's National Defence Commission (NDC), chaired by leader Kim Jong-Un, said the US government must withdraw its policy of hostility against the North if it wants peace on both the Korean peninsula and the "US mainland".

"(The United States) must bear it in mind that reckless provocative acts would meet our retaliatory strikes and lead to an all-out war of justice for a final showdown with the United States," a spokesman of the NDC was quoted as saying in a statement carried by Pyongyang's Korean Central News Agency.

"We emphasize again that the United States must withdraw various measures aimed to isolate and strangulate us. Dependent upon this are... peace and security, not only on the Korean peninsula but the US mainland as well."

The comments come after a two-day joint naval drill between Japan, South Korea and the US, which included an American nuclear aircraft carrier, sparked a series of angry responses and threats from Pyongyang.

I have been "playing" on this Internet since it's infancy. No one knew what a www was. Few had a URL, or even knew what it meant. Then, later on a BIG COMPANY NAME with a little www. Now a big WWW and a very small company name.

I have seen most of them come down the pike, tried a few of them, and few, to none ever generated any income for me.

Recent economic policies, i.e. NO SS RAISES, combined with our  rent going up, following suit were our utilities and insurance, enjoined with a complete lack of "retirement" planning on my part (I never thought I would live this long, five or six operations, four wives, high BP, bad stomach, and my ADD, combined with my being an Impulsive Spendthrift, etc.) have necessitated the urgency for some additional. Daily, I receive emails and Facebook entries extolling the east with which one can become an "Internet Millionaire."  Reportedly, there are many who make a six-figure income, just from a blog. I am signed up to advertise products on my blog and generate tremendous income from it. This blog, I think, has been in existence for, not sure, but almost ten years. During that time, my accumulated income is now at $91 or so dollars, when I get to $100 they will send me a check. There are many, I am sure, who make much more than I, because they know what they are doing.

I have done some research, contacted some, "in the know," and after much evaluation, I am going to ...

"OK Johnson, your last three medical school exam grades have not been good. We have been going over some options for you. I've discussed it with the rest of the faculty, and we are going to give you an option here. Well, to put it bluntly, either you are out of Med School, or, you can work your schedule around, take some additional courses, and specialize your studies and become a Urologist, you'll still be a Doctor, an MD. What will it be?"

Now I see why someone goes in to the field.

US to reopen Statue of Liberty, Grand Canyon

Heck of a drive, but go see both while you still can..........

Los Angeles (AFP) - US national parks and monuments including the Statue of Liberty and the Grand Canyon are to reopen despite the federal shutdown, after states agreed to fund them temporarily, officials said.

The National Park Service announced deals with the states of New York, Arizona, Colorado and Utah to reopen tourist sites closed since the US government partial shutdown came into force on October 1.

The New York agreement will allow funding for the Statue of Liberty for six days, beginning Saturday through October 17, with the state donating $369,300 to keep it running.

"This is a practical and temporary solution that will lessen the pain for some businesses and communities in New York during this shutdown,” said Interior Secretary Sally Jewell in a statement.

“We want to reopen all of our national parks as quickly possible for everyone to enjoy and call on Congress to pass a clean continuing resolution to open the government," she added.

Arizona has agreed to fund the Grand Canyon, visited by millions of tourists from all over the world every year, for seven days beginning Saturday, at a cost of $651,000, her office said.

Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park will be funded for 10 days beginning Friday at a cost of $362,700, and eight national parks and monuments in Utah will reopen also for 10 days beginning Friday at a cost of $1.666 million to the western US state.

Breast feeding ....

With all the problems we have in this country, and the world, why is "breastfeeding" such an issue? Something on the news about some woman who was breastfeeding, asked to leave, or something. Who is opposed to it? Women with children certainly aren't. I doubt that any men are, so who is the opposition.

Certainly not some bikini wearing girl, she is for showing as much as the law allows. Men, on occasions, have gone to great great lengths to get a ":view" ..... of ..... the breast, and more especially, the mysterious, the never seen, the ..... quietly .... the nipple .... I am afraid to put it in large type.

What, when and why did the nipple become so mysterious. It is used to feed a baby, by all mothers, all over the world, but never to be viewed by men. A male baby can see it, but at what age does it become mysterious. I looked it up .....In its most general form, a nipple is a structure from which a fluid emanates. More specifically, it is the projection on the breasts or udder of a mammal by which breast milk is delivered to a mother's young. In this sense, it is often called a teat, especially when referring to non-humans, and the medical term used to refer to it is papilla. The rubber mouthpiece of a baby bottle or pacifier may also be referred to as a "nipple" or a "teat". In many cultures, female nipples are considered an erogenous zone and it is considered a public indecency to uncover them in public.

OK, when not in use it is an "erogenous" zone. Wait just a minute .... An erogenous zone  is an area of the human body that has heightened sensitivity, the stimulation of which may result in the production of sexual fantasies, sexual arousal and orgasm. People have erogenous zones all over their bodies, but which areas are more sensitive than others vary. Some may resent stimulation that others find arousing. The stimulation of these areas can produce gentle, mild or intense arousal.

I understand it now. Unlike the elbow, for example, which has always been exposed to all, the nipple, which has been a hidden mystery, causes sexual fantasies. Then, if a nipple causes stimulation, why just on a woman, not a man. As someone once said, the main difference between cows milk and mothers milk, is the cute package the mothers milk comes in.

I saw a movie not along ago about Africa, or somewhere. All of the women in the village were bare breasted. Didn't look like any of the men were "aroused," they did have some kinda something on their, well, private parts, maybe that was why, to hide their arousal. I wonder, does a farmer get aroused at five in the morning when he is milking a cow, and well, ah, handling those, well, you know. That Jackson girl caused ripples (ha) all over the world when she had a "malfunction" and exposed, well, you know.

Keeping abreast of the situation ...........

When, who and how and why did they decide that under most circumstances, men could not see the nipple on a woman's breast. Ninety percent of it can be exposed, but not the red part on the end. Who decided that?

Why not the left half of the whole thing, or the right half, top or bottom. inside or outside. Why just the nipple?

There are nude beaches where the whole thing is exposed. Girlie magazines show everything, but have a star or a circle or some kind of cover, over that sacred nipple. Where did that custom ever start?

Some cultures don't cover anything, some "burlesque" shows exposed all, but had a pasty over that part of the breast.

Did women or men make that original decision? "Oh my God, don't show the nipple." Why was that?

Statues in the park will show men totally unclothed, women, the same, but generally something over the breasts.Do you think that God told Eve she could "bare it all" to Adam, but "keep a leaf or something, over those  nipples." God had infinite wisdom, but what was the rationale behind that decision?

What got me on that subject, I was waiting for my wife getting some tests done at the hospital and I was in their "Education" room. Nice and quiet, nice furniture, carpeted, quiet, great coffee, and I was sitting in this nice, quiet atmosphere, and on the shelf was a cross section of a breast, but I couldn't see the nipple because a book was in front of it.

I enjoy sitting in that room, great "People watching" place, windows, but secluded, I can watch everyone going and coming in the hospital. At my age, all my friends are either in the hospital or visiting someone, so I see a lot of old friends, but they don't see me, I like it that way.
