Walmart on Thursday confirmed that it’ll enforce a price-matching policy in all its U.S. stores that applies to prices from Amazon and other retailers, just in time for the busy Black Friday 2014 season, according to Reuters.
That means buyers will be able to purchase various items from any of Walmart’s roughly 5,000 stores across America for the same prices they’re available from Amazon online or in other retail stores.
“About half of the stores were doing it anyway,” Walmart’s Greg Foran said.
Additionally, Walmart also said that it’ll offer free shipping on top 100 items, Daily Finance reports, and price cuts on 20,000 items in its stores.
“Being the price leader is an ongoing priority for us and a commitment to our business,” Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said. “And with every year, that is even more important during the holiday season.”
Walmart has already made its Black Friday deals official, offering buyers plenty of interesting tech deals this holiday shopping season — to see the retailer’s full Black Friday ad,
