Avid fans and alums would like him to take over at Michigan. They apparently have made him an attractive offer, similar to the one I predicted ... not sure about the Pope thing.
Not financially, but it would be a step down for him to head back to Ann Arbor, and, expectations would be HIGH for him. With what they have, and will have, his chance to really turn the program around, are limited, to say the least. He knows that the same people who are salivating to get him back, would also, if the winning did not start, be the first in line to tar and feather him.
He seems to possess all the qualifications to be a Program Turner ... he is an ex player, a popular QB, successful, and, he seems to be a Pure Michigander ..
