There is a "Basketball God" and he helped UConn win the National Title game last night, 60 to 54. As usual, there was a riot of sorts on the UConn campus and many were arrested. You Win, you Riot, an age old custom.
The school motto has been, 'UConn if you try" and last night they tried and won, over the freshmen talent laden One and Done University, or as some know it as, Kentucky. After the victory, the sad team from "Blue Country," in "tail between the leg" fashion, dejectedly left the floor, with new goals of finding "agents," looking forward to their careers in the NBA.
Kentucky coach Calipari was on the phone to his stock broker desperately trying to find ways to spend his 300 thousand dollar bonus .... "Excuse me, I have another call coming in ..... Hello, yes, this is Calipari, who, the Lakers, you need a what, a coach ..... ah, do you know how much money I am making here, well, yea, I could just tell them I wanted to go to Disneyland .... OK, see you soon."
The college students beat the young high school team, kinda like TV wanted, I think, teach them a lesson, getting an education is a good thing, stay in school and "lern sumping."
Why did TV want a UConn victory, who plays tonight in the Lady's Championship ..... UConn, they did it before, let them do it again, makes for good TV viewing. Probably more viewers tonight to watch the Ladies Championship game tonight than ever before ..... more advertising revenue ..... strange how that works out.
