Three people are in custody in connection with the deadly shooting of a deliveryman bringing Chinese food to a home on Staten Island, police say.
The deliveryman, in his 50s, was found shot in the head on a dead-end street in the Mariners Harbor area shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, police said. He was pronounced dead at Richmond University Hospital.
Police said Friday they recovered the gun believed to have been used in the shooting and charges are pending.
The victim worked at Crown Palace restaurant. It's not clear if he was robbed.
Residents in the area told the Staten Island Advance that several other delivery workers have been mugged while making deliveries on the street.
