Ammo shortage

Earlier post, "People are buying ammunition for guns they have not bought yet." I had to think about that a bit, and see if I could relate to any other similar incident. Ammunition doesn't spoil, for one thing, at least I "don't think it does. I think I have heard the term "fresh ammunition."

Ammunition has only one purpose, to be shot from a gun. OK, a box of ammunition could be used as a paper weight.

"Hi Charley, nice to see you again. Oh, I see you have a dozen boxes of 50 caliber ammunition on your bookshelf, what gun do you have?"

"Well, Bob, I don't really have a gun, I just stocked up on them last week, I was in Walmart, and there they were on the shelf, and, I well, I called Martha and had her come down and buy some, then I did, and, a, we just got 'em."

"Oh, I see you also have quite a few boxes of 10 penny nails there too, nice, is that what all the hammers are for?"
