Good heaves, watching the "noon news," another school aged young girl was the victim of a man trying to lure her into his car. She ran to the bus stop where a number of children had congregated and the car took off. Every news cast, someone has attempted to lure a child into a car. What is going on in the world?
Television cameras are spying on us, everywhere, police are on the streets, yet this events happen with a frightening regularity. Ant this is just in one town. I wonder how often these events occur on a national basis.
Did these things use to happen, and without the "up to date" news coverage we have today, we just didn't hear about them.
In some respects, in the past, I think people were "concerned about consequences." I know some people who are living a better life in jail, than they were on the streets. The thought of being in jail does not concern them. Jail used to be ?hard time." Today it is not.
Being a parent today would have to be quite stressful. Being a child, well the only advantage to being a child is "innocence." But, the children have to be taught about the pitfalls that are out there.
