While the Romney campaign has not officially released its fundraising report for the month of September, a published report estimates that the GOP presidential nominee’s winning debate performance on Wednesday night has translated into a cool $12 million in online contributions.
The Wall Street Journal is also reporting that the first of three scheduled presidential debates has resulted in a surge of volunteers, larger crowds to attend one of Mitt Romney’s events on the campaign trail and more than 300,000 new friends on Facebook.
An InsiderAdvantage/Newsmax Debate Poll conducted minutes after Wednesday’s debate confirmed that most Americans agreed that Romney had won the first debate over President Barack Obama.
