They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
Well, actually, I don't know if they — whoever they are — actually say that, but it really holds true with this picture above.
A little girl was upset during the eighth inning of Wednesday's Brewers-Marlins game in Miami because an older man who should have known better stepped in and intercepted a baseball that Milwaukee's Norichika Aoki threw in the direction to the girl and a young boy with a glove.
The good news is that the little girl, who says she's in the fourth grade, later did an enthusiastic dance and got a ball between innings without any doofus stealing it away from her. And she received another when a sympathetic lady gifted a baseball to her. Oh, and she got to do a television interview before the end of the game. All on what was presumably a school night. That'll make for a great story to tell her class.
