I remember .....................

I remember, years ago, I would say, "Hey, Dad, I need a couple of bucks, want to get something to eat and go to a movie."

Later on, a five would put gas in the car, get a couple of burgers and fries, and still have enough left over for a movie. Now it would probably take a fifty to accomplish that.

In the fifties, in Nevada, the answer to a gamblers prayers was to hit it big in Keno, "a dollar ten eight spot" would get you $25,000.00. Enough to buy a new Caddie, head home with a bundle in the pocket, and live happily ever after.

In the sixties we bought a house with "nothing" down and a monthly house payment just over $100.

Now, "I need a hundred, gonna put a little gas in the car, rent a flick, and get a few things at Walmart."
