HEY, it's only 1%

ON JANUARY 1, 2013
THE US GOVERNMENT WILL BE REQUIRING EVERYONE TO HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT FOR SS CHECKS.
WONDER WHY?
Subject: HR 4646

Be sure to read entire explanation.................

Watch for this AFTER November elections
Remember this BEFORE you VOTE, in case you think Obama
is looking out for your best interest.

A 1% tax on all bank transactions is what HR 4646 calls for.

Do you receive a paycheck, or a retirement check from Social Security or a pension fund and have it direct deposit??
Well guess what ... It looks as if Obama wants to tax it 1% !!!
This bill was put forth by Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-PA).
YES, that is 1% tax on all bank transactions - HR 4646, every time it goes in and every time money goes out.
Ask your congressperson to vote NO.
FORWARD THIS BLOG TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!
1% tax on all bank transactions ~ HR 4646 - ANOTHER NEW OBAMA TAX SLIPPED IN WHILE WE WERE ASLEEP. Checked this on snopes, it's true! Check it out yourself ~ HR 4646.

President Obama's finance team is recommending a one percent (1%) transaction fee (TAX). Obama's plan is to sneak it in after the November elections to keep it under the radar.
This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution - banks, credit unions, savings and loans, etc. Any deposit you make, or even a transfer within your own bank from one account to another, will have a 1% tax charged.
If your paycheck or your Social Security or whatever is direct deposit, it will get a 1% tax charged for the transaction.
If your paycheck is $1000, then you will pay Obama $10 just for the privilege of depositing your paycheck in your bank. Even if you hand carry your paycheck or any check in to your bank for a deposit, 1% tax will be charged.
You receive a $5,000 stock dividend from your broker, Obama takes $50 just to allow you to deposit that check in the bank.
If you take $1,000 cash to deposit at your bank, 1% tax will be charged.

Mind you, this is from the man who promised that, if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax.

Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn about this guy's under-the-table moves to increase the number of ways you are taxed. Oh, and by the way, if you receive a refund from the IRS next year and you have it direct deposited or you walk in to deposit that check, you guessed it. You will pay a 1% charge of that money just for putting it in your bank.

Remember, any money, cash, check or whatever, no matter where it came from, you will pay a 1% fee if you put it in the bank.

Some will say, oh well, it's just 1%. Are you kidding me? It's a 1% tax increase across the board. Remember, once the tax is there, they can also raise it at will. And if anyone protests, they will just say, "Oh,that 's not really a tax, it's a user fee"!

Think this is no big deal? Go back and look at the transactions you made from last year's banking statements. Then add the total of all those transactions and deduct 1%. Still think it's no big deal?

How low will they go...................

Speaking of  "bold faced audacity."

What kind of "guts" does it take to insist that someone disclose documents, when, in fact, you have covered up EVERY document in your life, since and including, birth. If that is the kettle not calling the pot black, I don't know what is.

Obama wants to see a few income tax returns, and he has disclosed absolutely nothing.

And now to come out with an ad that insinuates that his opponent indirectly killed a lady by cutting off her insurance. Apparently she got sick, went to the hospital, they detected cancer, and she died a short time later. To insinuate that Romney had anything to do with it is sheer desperation and ludicrous.

Is this the man we want leading our country, I think not.

Desperation causes people to take drastic measures, and we are seeing that in this, well, it's not a political campaign, it is just a SIX BILLION DOLLAR smear campaign that is a disgrace to both candidates. Obama has sunk to unheard of levels.

He is merely a "political puppet," who, is pulling the strings?

Bold faced audacity -----

I have been watching some Obama TV commercials.

How, could he have the bold faced audacity to talk about the deficit, and how he is going to take measures to lower it. And then he will get back on his fancy jet, fly to the next town at a cost of thousands of taxpayer dollars, to campaign more, to attempt to tell us how frugal he is. You gotta admire his guts. He can lie with a straight face, and even give the appearance that he is telling the truth.

And, furthermore, he wants to see documents of his opponent, and will show none of his, i.e. birth certificate, how he regained citizenship, if in fact he did renounce his to go to school in a country that only educated their own citizens. What about his college records? Who paid for his tuition?  We know little to nothing of him, yet he demands a full disclosure of his opponent.

Or, an old adage, "If you are going to be a sucker, be a silent one."

At least, let's not vote him in again. Let's just count our losses, regroup, and do damage control.

Be thankful, think of the mess that would be created if we found out he was NOT, in fact, a citizen, and therefore, could not be president. What would happen then?????????

No man stands so tall ..... as when he stoops to help another ...........

Franklin, Timmy and Jim

Just in case you might have wondered how their ineptitude affected their lives after they ruined so many dreams and lives... let's refresh your memory. Here's a quick look into three former Fannie Mae executives who brought down Wall Street.
Franklin Raines - was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities (FRAUD) in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.

Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 and $7 million when it fact, it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
FRANKLIN RAINES
Raines works for the Obama Campaign as his Chief Economic Adviser.
TIM HOWARD
Howard is a Chief Economic Adviser to Obama under Franklin Raines.
JIM JOHNSON
Johnson was hired as a Senior Obama Finance Adviser and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee.
Are we stupid or what?

If it's wrong - Put a sock in it

When Obama stopped in at Master Lock in Milwaukee, Wisconsin last week, he was walking the plant and stopped to talk with a plant employee and looked up at the banner hanging on the wall and said to the worker and people around him, "It is great to be in a union shop, especially one as old as this union is " - - - - pointing to the banner. He then said, "A Union shop since 1848" - - - and then he went on to talk on what that banner stood for and how important it was to display it and show your union support.

The worker then said to Obama that it was the flag of the State of Wisconsin - - which was founded in 1848, and that the shop was Non-Union.This was only reported by a local radio station in Milwaukee (1130AM) and not by the major news networks - - - they didn't want to embarrass this "got no friggin' clue" President. Can you imagine what the national news would do to a Bush or Reagan if they had made the same colossal goof?!

Since they didn't do their job of reporting on this presidential visit, the only way for the news to get around is by us - on the Internet. The White House media said he skipped Wisconsin & just went to Minnesota & Chicago.

August 5, 1962 - Marilyn Monroe Dies

Marilyn Monroe was found dead in the bedroom of her Brentwood home by her psychiatrist Ralph Greenson after he was called by Monroe's housekeeper Eunice Murray on August 5, 1962.

She was 36 years old at the time of her death.

Her death was ruled to be "acute barbiturate poisoning" by Dr. Thomas Noguchi of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office and listed as "probable suicide".

The death of Monroe has since become one of the most debated conspiracy theories of all time.

The FFRF - at it again

It is becoming a familiar refrain: the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has utilized its vast amount of time and resources to force a community—in this case, Steubenville, Ohio—to alter its new logo due to the fact that a cross was prominently displayed as a part of it. The horror! Atheists nationwide can rest easy knowing that little old Steubenville is once again open to all citizens, not only the Christian ones.
The FFRF has been on a tear, sanitizing everything they can find of Christian symbols. In the case of Steubenville, the offending cross was attached to Franciscan University’s Christ the King Chapel, apparently a Steubenville landmark. It is quite shocking indeed to think that a Christian chapel would have the audacity to display a Christian symbol on its roof. Christ the King was obviously mistaken when they designed their building to reflect their beliefs. Didn’t they know that unbelievers would take offense at such a symbol (perhaps Paul was really on to something in 1 Corinthians 1:18)?
The FFRF’s ridiculous statement even went so far as to claim:
“Steubenville is a theocracy and is a Christian city where non-Christians or nonbelievers are not favored citizens. The city may not depict the university chapel and cross because to do so places the city’s imprimatur behind Christianity. The city of Steubenville must not endorse ‘faith’ and church. While we understand that Franciscan University is part of the City, the City may not depict the University chapel and cross because to do so places the City’s imprimatur behind Christianity. This excludes non-Christians and violates the Constitution.”
Really? So now that the “city’s imprimatur” has been removed from the logo, what do we do about the real cross in the real city? It is still there. If the cross being on the logo is a symbol of solidarity with the church, what message does allowing the actual church to display its cross proudly on its roof send to unsuspecting citizens? If the cross on the logo shows approval, then certainly the wooden cross on the church itself shows it as well. How is removing one and not the other any more honest or less of a “theocracy”? The stupidity is limitless.

Oscar Pistorius - click-click-clicking in London

LONDON (AP) -- It began with a smile at the starting line.

Moments later, Oscar Pistorius took off and the click-click-clicking of carbon on the track was all but drowned out by the 80,000 fans on hand to watch him make history Saturday.

The first amputee to compete in track at the Olympics, Pistorius cruised past an opponent or two in the backstretch of his 400-meter heat, and by the end, the "Blade Runner" was coasting in for a stress-free success.

Typical. Except this time, it was anything but that.

"I've worked for six years ... to get my chance," said the South African, who finished second and advanced to Sunday night's semifinals. "I found myself smiling in the starting block. Which is very rare in the 400 meters."

Yes, this sun-splashed day at Olympic Stadium was a good one for Pistorius, a double-amputee who runs on carbon-fiber blades and whose fight to get to this point has often felt more like a marathon than a sprint. He walked out of the tunnel, looked into the stands, saw his friends and family there - including his 89-year-old grandmother, who was carrying the South African flag.

"It's very difficult to separate the occasion from the race," Pistorius conceded.

But he figured it out. He finished in a season-best time of 45.44 seconds, crossing the line and looking up at the scoreboard, then covering his face with his hands when he saw the capital "Q'' - for qualifier - go up by his name.

PHELPS

By PAUL NEWBERRY

LONDON (AP) — Seventh at the turn, an Olympic champion at the end.

Make it 17 gold medals for Michael Phelps.

Was there any other way to go out in the final individual race of his career?

With those long arms whirling through the water, Phelps was next-to-last when he touched the wall at the far end of the pool in the 100-meter butterfly but in a familiar position when he made the touch that counted Friday — his name atop the leaderboard, a smile on his face, another gold medal around his neck.

"I'm just happy that the last one was a win," Phelps said. "That's all I really wanted coming into the night."

He claimed his third gold of the London Games and 17th of his career, adding to an already absurd record total that should be twice as much as anyone else by the time he swims the final race of his career, the 4x100 medley relay Saturday night.

The Panther, the Doberman and the Squirrel

An old Doberman was chasing rabbits and before long, he discovered that he was lost.

Wandering about, he noticed a panther heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having him for lunch.

The old Doberman thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep trouble now!"

Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the panther is about to leap, the old Doberman exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious panther! I wonder, if there are any more around here?

Hearing this, the young panther halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees.

"Whew!," says the panther, "That was close! That old Doberman nearly had me!"

Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figured he could put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the panther. So, off he goes.

The squirrel soon catches up with the panther, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the panther. The young panther is furious at being made a fool of and said, "Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!"

Now, the old Doberman sees the panther coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?"

But instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old Doberman says ....... "Where's that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another panther!"

Moral of this story...  Don't mess with the old dogs... Age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery! Intelligence and brilliance only come with age and experience.

And the job pays $400,000

Total political spending on elections this cycle is estimated to reach nearly $6 billion, according to an analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan group that tracks the influence of money in politics.

The researchers who compiled the report gathered data through public disclosure documents submitted to the Federal Election Commission and tax documents filed by nonprofit groups that are not required by law to disclose their donors.

The estimated amount—$5.8 billion—is $400 million more than the record-breaking amount spent in the last presidential election cycle in 2008.

The report includes spending on congressional campaigns in its calculation and estimates that the presidential race alone will cost $2.5 billion.

"Although a lot of money still remains to be raised and spent, the data already show that we're on track to break the extraordinary, record-setting sums spent in 2008," said CFRP Executive Director Sheila Krumholz. "That cycle was the first in which we crossed the $5 billion mark, and the big question now is whether we will already reach—or surpass—$6 billion just one cycle later. At a minimum, we'll come close."

Any Lawyers out there, need some opinions and advice?

About eleven years ago, my wife, Marilyn, was diagnosed with  breast cancer. She entered some sort of a "controlled" program.  The procedure worked and she has been free of and is still free of the cancer.

Then some years later, she started having heart problems, and among other things was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, which was attributed to the medication she had taken during her cancer treatment.. She has suffered from "dizzy spells" and lightheartedness for about nine years. This necessitated the implanting of a "Pacemaker/Defibrillator" in her shoulder a few months ago. Dizziness, lightheaded spells have continued.

One morning, a few weeks back, her Defibrillator started going off, 37 times in an hour, and, at the hospital later on that day a few more times. They had to operate and re install the unit. Wires may have dislodged during a VERY slight fall she took in our hallway.

Still, dizzy and lightheaded spells, have to help her get up out of a chair to make sure she is OK.

Last Monday, we were shopping, checking out, and in an instant that my back was turned, she was on the floor. She apparently just passed out, and in doing so gave herself a bloody nose, and at the hospital, she was diagnosed with a broken arm, between the elbow and the shoulder, apparently the area where there is nothing much that can be done. Keep the arm in the sling and take pain pills.

My question to a lawyer.. This can ALL be attributed to the taking of that drug. She has gone literally through hell because of that drug. DOES SHE HAVE ANY RECOURSE????????

Please EMAIL me with any ideas or suggestions. We live in Newark, Ohio. Certainly she is entitled to something for all that she has gone through. All we see is "frivolous" lawsuits, I think she is justified in receiving some sort of compensation for all that she has gone through, and is still going through. She will be in pain and in that sling for four to six weeks,

And, now, also, we have the dread fear of her Defibrillator wires being pulled out, and more episodes of her being shocked, comparable to sticking your finger in a light socket, each one accompanied by a "blood curdling" scream.

She deserves something for what she has gone through. Even an EMAIL might cheer her up, but I would really like to receive a legal opinion.

Psychiatrist Called Threat Team About Aurora Shooting Suspect James Holmes

By MARK GREENBLATT AND ENJOLI FRANCIS

Aurora, Colo., shooting suspect James Holmes came to the attention of the threat assessment committee at the University of Colorado but no further action was taken because he left the school more than a month before the attack that killed 12 and injured 58, sources told ABC News.
ABC News has learned that Dr. Lynne Fenton, the psychiatrist who was treating Holmes, 24, at the school, was also a key member of the university's threat assessment team. The group of experts were responsible for protecting the school from potentially violent students.
KMGH-TV, ABC News' affiliate in Denver, reported exclusively that, according to sources, by early June, Fenton had informed other members of the team about her concerns regarding Holmes. But on June 10 -- three days after Holmes bought an assault weapon and added it to his already growing arsenal -- he suddenly told the university that he was dropping out of the neurosciences doctoral program with no explanation.
KMGH-TV reported last week that he'd purchased the weapon hours after failing a key oral exam.
On Monday, Holmes was charged with 24 counts of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting during a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises."
Twelve people were killed and 58 were wounded in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. Each death carried two separate murder charges, one for showing premeditation and one for showing extreme indifference to life. Both of the charges carry the death penalty as a possible sentence.
Sources have told KMGH-TV that the threat assessment team never had a formal meeting and never intervened, believing that it had no control over Holmes once he'd left the university. Documents uncovered by ABC News show that Fenton also wrote the school's policy on threat assessment.
Michael Carrigan, chairman of the CU board of regents, told KMGH that he did not know if Holmes had ever been discussed by the threat assessment team. "It's the first I'm hearing about this," he said in a phone interview.
A CU spokeswoman declined comment to KMGH on Fenton or any threat-team team actions, citing a gag order.
Don Elliman, the university's chancellor, said last week that "to the best of our knowledge, at this point, we did everything we think we could have done."
But experts said today that Holmes' departure should have been a red alert.
"You know, I think that's the signal that you should intensify your efforts, not walk away," said Barry Spodak, a threat assessment expert. "Under those circumstances, most well-trained threat assessment teams would have gone into action."

How is my day going, you ask?

I just realized, I have been sitting here, most of the day, the television on, tuned to a "Swing Kings" music station, and it has been on "mute," apparently just watching the little logo with the name of the tune going up and down the screen. That is the kind of a day this has been, just way too many problems in my life right now. I usually say I judge my life by my "pond" and either how tranquil it is, or how many whitecaps or waves are on it. Today, there is no water in my pond, it is that bad.

Maybe it will fill up tomorrow.

The good news. Marilyn's low salt diet, which I have been eating,  my cutting back on sugar diet, eating a lot of pasta with cheese and unsalted butter, sprinkled with lemon juice,  baked cauliflower, drizzled with olive oil and a lot of fresh garlic. I have lost almost twenty pounds, getting close to 190, have not been there in many years.

Good food, clean place, I eat there .......

Why do I eat at certain restaurants?

Answer: I like the food, and, I have to include the service if it is a "sit down."

We went to a Steak N Shake once, the sandwich was laughable, had been thrown together. The waitress even said "I wondered," but she served it anyway, which made me mad. The photo of the fries on the menu, were not what they served. Bottom line, they apologized, agreed with me, but, I will never go back.

Bad food, bad service,, many reasons I will not patronize a restaurant.

On my list there is NOTHING about their religious or political or any other of their beliefs. I don't care who  they hire, or for what reasons, I go there for their food, not for who is serving it to me.

We don't have one of those chicken places here in Newark, anyway, so I don't have to be concerned. I checked out their website, got some nice looking sandwiches.

Good times ahead?

FACEBOOK  -  Picture of Romney - Are America's BEST DAYS ahead of us?

Thought being, as I interpreted it, if Romney gets elected, he will be able to turn the world around, perform a country-wide 180 miracle, and put us back on the road, the same as we were in ?

My thought, if that could be done, at what point in time was the USA at its greatest, just when was our shining hour?

I think at any point in our history, half were happy, and half discontented. As I recall, there were dissenters at the signing, so maybe there never was a time when we all were happy. We generally all came together on a few occasions after the civil war. It seems like it has always taken a war or a great tragedy to bring the country together.

Makes me concerned about the next few months. What  could possibly happen to unite the country as one, and give our unified blessing to our president?

Gore Vidal

Gore Vidal, the novelist, essayist and playwright, will be remembered as much for his outspokenness and scorn for popular culture and politics as for his 60-year writing career.

He died Tuesday at age 86.

His nephew, Burr Steers, said Vidal died at his home in the Hollywood Hills of complications from pneumonia. Vidal had been living alone in the home and had been sick for "quite a while," Steers said.

Vidal, whose best sellers included Myra Breckenridge and Burr, was proud to be a political and literary troublemaker.

Got caught trying to lose?????

London (CNN) -- Eight female badminton players were disqualified from the Olympics on Wednesday for trying to lose matches the day before, the Badminton World Federation announced after a disciplinary hearing.

The players from China, South Korea and Indonesia were accused of playing to lose in order to face easier opponents in future matches, drawing boos from spectators and warnings from match officials Tuesday night.

All four pairs of players were charged with not doing their best to win a match and abusing or demeaning the sport.

The Indonesian and South Korean pairs appealed the decision, the BWF said, and a decision on their appeals is expected later Wednesday.
