What is this, a picture of an old guy, oriental, in bed, maybe writing his last will and testament?

No, actually it is Frank Tanabe casting his vote.

Frank served in World War II, after he volunteered to join the Army, from behind barbed wire at his Tule Lake, California internment camp. He had been  student at the University of Washington and was pulled out of school and interned along with 110,000 others by a presidential directive.

Noah Tanabe, his grandson, said he thinks about his grandfather every time he votes."It's hard to imagine - after his family business is torched, his family imprisoned, and denied the opportunity to finish his college education - he volunteered to serve. I don't know if I would have done the same thing, but we are all very proud of him," he said.

"I think he feels like joining the Army, going to the camp, fighting in the war, and fighting discrimination — these were all things he did so that we have this precious right to vote," she said.

He is quite ill, in hospice care, and if he passes before election day, his vote will not be counted.

I realize that many of my readers live abroad, but I am very concerned about voters, here in the US, who are indicating that they are NOT going to vote in the upcoming election.

I have never missed that opportunity.

I had a teacher at Oakwood High School, in Dayton, Ohio, my Civics teacher, and he instilled in me a respect for our "system." He was Captain Thomas D. Brown, a brilliant lecturer and teacher who had been in the First World War and had a great deal of respect for out government, and was able to convey his dedication to his students.

If you hear someone say that they are not going to vote, talk them out  of it, regardless of their reason, their vote is very important, and especially in this "crossroads" election. This country is not only at a crossroad, is perhaps our last crossroad. I honestly believe that if this country is not herded into the right direction we could be in a desperate situation.

If you don't vote, you are part of the problem ................

All voting precincts in all voting locations will be furnished with "I Voted For Obama" badges which can be affixed to clothing as you exit the polling place. One poll worker will be designated as the "Determiner" who will be allowed to check each ballot to verify the vote, and if the ballot indicates an Obama Vote, the "survival conscious" voter will be handed the aforementioned badge which will enable the wearer to exit the polling place. In the event there are any "impromptu, spontaneous, non sponsored, unknown" displays of any kind, the I Voted For Obama badge will insure your safe conduct.

It is suggested the badge be worn for at least one year.

All badges can be turned in anytime after the election and a "safe" period has been reached,  and replaced with a "Hillary in 2016," or, perhaps a "Michelle in 2016," or, an unlikely "Clinton/Obama," or the more direct, "Hillary/Michelle."

Don't consider this Presidential Order an invasion of privacy, I just want to insure the safety of all voters, well not all, just some.

Cause for concern ...............

I am not exactly sure of the origin f this article, so I am not going to mention any names. I have expressed these same concerns so I am offering this here for your consideration and thought.

Could 2012 be America 's Last Presidential Election?

This questions has been asked to a number of people and most of them respond as if I were crazy. They tell me that this is America , land of the free, and that there will always be elections. I tell them that we are no longer the land of the free and that if Obama gets re-elected in 2012 that this just may be America 's last election.

In the past three years, the Obama administration has been very carefully crafting the nation for a political take over by his Marxist regime and this isn't just my opinion.

Popular radio talk show host (of the Savage Nation on the Talk Radio Network), Michael Savage, is the son of Russian immigrants and is very familiar with Soviet and European history. Savage warned his listeners this week saying, "I have to tell you that if this man, God forbid, is the next president of the United States, we're going to be living in something along the lines of - people say - Europe. I don't believe it's going to be like Europe - I think it will be closer to Chavez's South American dictatorship.

"This is the most corrupt, incompetent, dangerous tyrannical administration in American history. It's not politics as usual. It's not just Democrats versus Republicans. Obama has a long history of being at odds with American values and with America itself and the core principles of this country. They don't want government-sponsored opinions. They only want government-sponsored 'Pravda.' That's exactly what the government-media complex tells you on a daily basis - nothing but the government-media complex party line. Pay attention! Your freedom may be at stake!

Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum told a small group of people in an Iowa coffee house that "Barack Obama is not incompetent, ladies and gentleman. He knows exactly what he's doing and why he's doing it. He sees America differently than you see America ."

[Obama] has gone out of his way to divide this country in a way I haven't seen since the Great Depression when Franklin Roosevelt went around to divide his country. That's his hero. What makes America great [in Obama's mind] is that the government takes money from somebody and gives it to somebody else. No, that's what makes America , France .

"With his control over the Executive and Judicial branches of the government, the stage is set for a complete takeover of the government. Think about it! Since taking office, instead of helping the economy, Obama has purposely escalated the economic crisis by plunging the country into unprecedented debt. He has a number of programs that are designed to go into effect in January 2013, just in time for his second term of office. The economic burden and increased taxes on everyone will be enough to cause the final economic collapse of the country. As soon as that happens, Obama declares Martial Law and assumes dictatorial control of the nation.

The Department of Justice has already been subverting federal laws to strip us of a number of freedoms. The Supreme Court and many of the other federal courts have been seeded with socialistic liberal judges that will rule in Obama's favor on virtually anything, thus ending constitutional rule and law.

He's already changing the face of America 's military. Allowing homosexuals to openly serve along with changing the retirement program is causing many conservative military leaders to resign commissions and leave the military. Some Pentagon officials are also noting that an increase in the enlistment of radical Muslims into the US military where they get all the training they need on weapons and defense systems. We have no idea how many of them there are in the armed forces or in what positions they may hold.

Obama has been wielding executive powers this past year as if he were already a dictator. When Congress is not doing his bidding, he simply bypasses them and uses an executive order to accomplish it anyway. This has set the stage for his disbandment of Congress. He would not be the first world leader to take control of a nation and disband the legislative branch of government.

He has been effectively using the media to anesthetize the public to the dangers he poses. Like a patient being prepped for surgery, people are numb to the changes and won't have a clue what took place until they wake up in recovery and realize that free America has been removed and replaced with a regime that may parallel those of Stalin, Lenin, Mussolini, Hitler, Chavez and Castro.

For the sake of our children and grandchildren, I earnestly pray that we are spared from what seems a certain future and that Obama is overwhelmingly defeated in 2012.

Keystone oil pipeline bill fails in Senate - WHY?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senate Democrats on Thursday defeated a Republican proposal to give a permit to the Keystone XL crude oil pipeline in a vote that will give Republicans more ammunition to criticize President Barack Obama's energy policies on the campaign trail.

Republicans argue the pipeline, which would ship oil from Canada and northern states to Texas, would create jobs and improve energy security at a time of surging gasoline prices.

Obama put TransCanada's $7 billion project on hold earlier this year pending further environmental review. He took the unusual step of calling some senators personally ahead of the vote, asking them to reject the proposal.


"He understood that a majority of the American public, a majority at least in the Senate, are strongly in favor of this project," said Senator Richard Lugar, the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations committee, who sponsored the bill to take control of the pipeline decision away from Obama.

I wonder why, I think that this is playing politics at its worst. Almost like taking food away from a starving people. I'm sure he has a reason, just can't imagine what it is.

I voted today ....

I spent a long time looking over the ballot, I've gotten many pieces in the mail, from an assortment of politicians. Some I could not tell whether they were for or against a candidate. I got phone calls from the Governor of Ohio, and all the Presidential candidates. I got calls from people I had never heard from, some endorsements were good and some bad.

My mind was a blur by the time I got to the polling place. I showed them my drivers license and got what I needed to vote.

I stood in front of that machine for a long while, trying to decide. I finally did a write in ...

I wrote in "Walmart." They seem to know how to run things, how to expand, how to merchandise, how to pacify local governments, how to make friends around the world, so I voted for them.
