Recognition for a job well done ...

I received a nice round of applause the other day, and well deserved, if I do say so.

I don't get a haircut often, not that concerned about appearance at this age, but I guess I was in the mood.

Pulled in to Great Clips, I'm picky where I go, and I noticed a lot of cars, but did not let that stop me.

Parked, walked in, the place was crowded. Gave the young lady my phone number, and she replied, "Joe, we'll call you in about ten minutes."

I turned, all of the chairs were full of people, the only thing available was the "kids" table, with little kid sized chairs. I picked one and slowly sat down. All eyes were on me. I mentioned that I might need help to get up.

Well, so of the "big boy" chairs opened up, but I wanted to put off getting up as long as I could.

"Joe."

I got to my feet in one fluid motion, the four or five people still sitting gave me a nice round of applause.

I bowed and thanked them.
