Gee indicated that he is leaving OSU because he has been offered a job by the producer of NCIS to be a "stand-in" double for David McCallum who plays Forensic Medical Specialist, "Ducky" Mallard. Gee stated that he had been a fan of the show for many years, and had actually used some of the procedures he had seen on the show to remove his foot from his mouth. "I will especially miss the fantastic expense account I had at OSU. It will be difficult spending all that money of my own, have not had to do that for many years, I will miss the world of acadaammia."
