Over $19,000 raised! Clint can replace...Over $10,000 raised! Clint can replace his equipment several times over now, or buy a state-of-the-art hot dog truck, if he wants! Thank you all for coming together and showing what a community rallying together can do. The generosity and support displayed here today far exceeded my expectations, but reached my goal - to show Clint that we stand behind him 100 (or, apparently 342) percent!

"If the student hasn't learned, the teacher hasn't taught." How can the student learn if the teacher isn't there? I don't think this is a good way to resolve an issue. Is this a good "lesson" to convey and teach to the students. They are depriving thousands of young minds to an education. 

Two Michigan school districts reportedly closed shop Tuesday after teachers called out, likely so they could participate in union protests tied to the expected passage of "right-to-work" legislation this week in the state capital.

Demonstrators have already started to march down the streets, as lawmakers return to put the final touches on legislation that would bar unions from demanding dues from workers. The move would make Michigan the 24th "right-to-work" state and strike a blow to organized labor in the heart of the U.S. auto industry.
Local unions spent the weekend preparing for massive protests on Tuesday, in a last-ditch push to pressure lawmakers. WDIV in Detroit reports that both the Warren and Taylor school districts had to close Tuesday after so many teachers called out absent.

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, in an interview with Fox News, said it was "unfortunate" that teachers called out.

"Too often the educational system's all about the adults," he said. "To see schools shutting down because of an issue like this is not appropriate in my view."

ONE BILLION A DAY - LOST

 (Reuters) - A national coalition of U.S. business groups is urging an end to a strike at the twin California ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach amid fears that a prolonged stand-off will cost the American economy many billions of dollars, and could even spread to the east coast.

Trade groups led by the National Retail Federation have sent letters to U.S. President Barack Obama and leading members of Congress asking them to intervene and help end the strike at America's two busiest container harbor facilities. Those industry groups say the strike, which entered its sixth day on Sunday, is already costing $1 billion a day.

The labor dispute has been triggered by 500 clerical workers at the ports, members of the relatively small Office of Clerical Union Workers. Their industrial action and clout has been significantly strengthened because some 10,000 members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union have supported them, refusing to cross the clerical workers' picket lines.

AFL-CIO, FOP, all the unions are getting behind the CASINO issue..... and .... they ask WHY? ..... insinuating that it is a GOOD thing for OHIO.

We all know WHY they are getting behind it.

It is UNION money that is being used to build the casinos.

It will be UNION contractors that build them.

It will be UNION employees that run them.

And they have the AUDACITY to run a commercial, asking, WHY?

They should ask - HOW can Ohio residents afford to LOSE BILLIONS of dollars in OHIO?

Some ad indicated that Ohio would benefit with a BILLION dollars. How much does that mean that residents actually lost, if the state only gets a small percentage?

Leaving your hard earned money in a CASINO is a GOOD thing for OHIO.

YES, it was illegal yesterday, and NO we did not want that element in Ohio, and NO, casinos are not a good thing ...... BUT ...... TODAY ...... NOW we like casinos because they are going to pay tax money, bring in more prostitution, ruin some Ohio families, skim off the top to support illegal activities in other states, add to offshore accounts of, well, we don't know, purchase politicians, grease certain palms, etc., etc., etc.
