Nevada casinos won more than $854 million in April, reflecting decreases in the same month in 2012 and in March 2013.
According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the total gaming win was reported at $854,293,047. The April 2013 win was down 0.16 percent from the total collected in April 2012. In addition, April's win was less than March's win of $914 million.
In the fiscal year-to-date, more than $9 billion has been collected from July 2012 through April, marking a 2.44 percent increase from the previous fiscal year.
The NGCB also said the amount of taxable revenue generated in May was down nearly three percent from the same month in 2012.
Clark County generated $736 million, reflecting a nearly 1 percent decrease in April. Revenue at Las Vegas Strip casinos dropped nearly one percent to $448 million.
The top gainers in April were at Reno and South Lake Tahoe casinos, each collecting 15 and 14 percent jumps, respectively.
