Why are some people interested in loggers and driving trucks on icy roads. Do they really believe that a clerk at a Speedway Convenience Mart is not going to think something is amiss, when a supposed new hire shows up with a camera crew, and that he has never seen a photograph of the boss. There probably is one posted on the bulletin board.
Do we really like to see a guy work at dirty jobs and what is with the guy who eats grotesque looking and smelling things. I have stumbled on that on more than one occasion while channel hopping, and ruined my dinner.
Some years back, my son in New Jersey, the one with the studio, was putting together a possible TV show, Pitch TV. People would be filmed telling about their ideas about new products, new TV shows, an idea they wanted to "Pitch." I sat in on some of the "filmings," and I thought some of the dumbest ideas I had ever heard. Now, the products are on the market and the TV shows are showing.
One that isn't, yet, one woman had the idea for a TV show about the daily life and routine of the Pope. What could be more mundane than the life of the Pope. But, maybe next season.
I have to be honest, one of my favorite shows is the "Cash Cab." For those that don't know, he picks up unsuspecting fares in New York, hidden cameras in the cab, and if they play, they are asked questions all the way to their destination. Win, lose or draw, it is an entertaining show, and guaranteed to make you smile. It is the brightest spot on day time television.
"Hey you guys are in the Cash Cab, a TV show right here in my cab. I will ask you questions all the way to your destination. You guys wanna play.
"Yes."
"What are your names?"
Dumb idea, good show, watch it, and you will smile.
